Phoenix Park

At the western entrance to Nice, close to the airport, the Phoenix Park covers 7 hectares dedicated to the discovery of the wildlife and flora. A haven of biodiversity in an urban environment, it is home to nearly 2,000 animals and more 2,500 plant species.

As far as animals are concerned, the park plays an essential role as a refuge and conservation area: it is home to exotic species that have been seized by customs or abandoned, making it impossible to reintroduce them into their natural environment. Lemurs, wallabies, grey otters, parrots, pink flamingos, snakes and miniature horses are just some of the many residents to be met.

In terms of vegetation, the site's emblem is its monumental greenhouse 7,000 m², 25-metre high, which recreates different tropical and subtropical climates, housing orchids, ferns and other rare collections. Outside, several themed areas - oasis, grass valley, Provencal hut, insectarium, lake - offer immersion in a variety of worlds.

The ideal place for a family outing, Parc Phoenix also has play areas, slides and even a tree climbing course for the youngest visitors.
