Nicknamed «the village of violets», Tourrettes sur Loup has been celebrating this emblematic flower grown on its hills for over a century. Every spring, the Violet Festival brings the village to life in an explosion of color and fragrance, paying homage to a crop that made its reputation. In the past, violets represented a veritable local economy, used in confectionery, perfumery and floral decoration. Even today, artisans continue this tradition, offering by-products such as violet candies, syrups and soaps.
