Located at 6 rue Sainte-Réparate, a stone's throw from the eponymous square, Olive & Artichaut is run by Aurélie Marion and chef Thomas Hubert. This warm, Bib Gourmand-award-winning address embodies a sincere passion for seasonal produce, market cuisine and a warm welcome in an intimate setting.
The menu is short, punctuated by the seasons and local market finds. Dishes include pumpkin and chestnut velouté, revisited pissaladière, watercress and snail risotto, braised lamb and a surprising version of cassoulet. Each plate is carefully balanced, highlighting the richness of the terroir without overdoing it.
The tight but pertinent wine selection favors local discoveries and characterful vintages. Discreet, professional service accompanies the meal with attention to detail. The team is happy to share the history of products and producers, without excessive formalism.
