Just a stone's throw from Place Masséna, Soviet is a nightclub in a class of its own on the Nice scene. This atypical club, with its discreet entrance, reveals itself as a raw and authentic den for electronic music lovers. Conceived as a place of festive resistance, it pays homage to the spirit of Berlin clubs with a radical, industrial and uncompromising aesthetic.
Soviet is a sanctuary for lovers of techno, house, acid, breakbeat and underground sounds. The programming is fine, cutting-edge and often oriented towards the emerging scene as well as confirmed figures on the European circuit. Every weekend, fiery DJ sets transform the room into a vibrant black box, where the music takes center stage. There are no commercial playlists or hits here: Soviet stands for a pure and free vision of clubbing.
The Soviet's aesthetic evokes the disused hangars of Eastern Europe: concrete walls, minimal lighting, an assumed bunker atmosphere. Everything is designed so that music and partying are the only priorities. The dancefloor is plunged into half-light, the DJ booth close to the audience, and bodies move to the rhythm of the bass in an electric atmosphere. The experience is physical, collective, almost cathartic.
