Nérolium Cooperative-Ecomuseum in Golfe Juan

A unique immersion in the world of scents and local knowledge

Founded in 1904 by and for local farmers, the Cooperative Nérolium perpetuates a rare activity: the distillation of bitter orange blossoms hand-picked from the hills of Vallauris and Golfe Juan. The eco-museum, housed in the original buildings, invites visitors to discover this human and olfactory adventure through a sensory, educational and historical trail.

We discover the secrets behind the production of neroli essential oil, prized by the world's greatest perfumers, as well as the strong link between the plant, the land and mankind.

Among the treasures to be discovered, visitors can admire :
- Copper stills still in operation during the flower season (April-May)
- Archive photos, farming tools and old documents
- Reconstruction of a distillery and packaging workshop
- Immersive videos and testimonials from former producers
- A collection of bottles and labels from the perfumers of Grasse
- A store selling products from the cooperative: orange blossom water, jams, soaps, candles, etc.

At the crossroads of the local economy, Mediterranean identity and agricultural tradition, Nérolium is much more than a museum: it's a living memory of the region.
