Located in the heart of the historic center of Grasse, the Musée International de la Parfumerie plunges you into the refined and bewitching world of perfumery, from Antiquity to the present day. Precious bottles, raw materials, manufacturing processes, iconic creations... a unique sensory and cultural experience, at the heart of the the world's perfume capital.
A unique immersion in the art and history of perfume
Created in 1989 and completely renovated in 2008, the museum offers a rich and elegant tour, combining history of civilization, industrial innovation and craftsmanship. Through more than 3,000 pieces - art objects, laboratory instruments, advertisements, bottles by Lalique or Baccarat - it tells the story of how perfume has crossed eras, continents and cultures.
Managed by Pays de Grasse, the museum brings together heritage and modernity, with interactive spaces, olfactory ambiences, and top-notch temporary exhibitions.
Among the treasures to be discovered, visitors can admire :
- Antique bottles and perfume burners from Egypt, Asia and Europe
- The main stages in perfume production, from distillation to enfleurage
- Creations by legendary houses such as Guerlain, Chanel and Dior
- A recreation of a perfumer's laboratory
- A perfume organ and a unique collection of natural raw materials
- Interactive modules to test your sense of smell and explore olfactory families
The museum also offers a garden of scents just a few minutes from downtown olfactory workshops, conferences and educational programming for young and old.

- April to September: daily, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- October to March: daily except Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
