A unique immersion in the world of a form-builder

Inaugurated in 1960 on land acquired by Fernand Léger shortly before his death, the museum was conceived as a place of artistic life, reflecting his creative approach. Its luminous architecture and immense mosaic façade invite visitors to discover a rich body of work at the crossroads of cubism, social realism and the decorative arts.

Managed by the French state and part of the National 20th Century Museums of the Alpes-Maritimes, the museum houses the world's largest collection of works by Fernand Léger, offering a complete overview of his career, from early research to major public projects.

Among the treasures to be discovered, visitors can admire :
- Large-scale ceramic frescoes and murals
- Major paintings such as Builders or The card game
- Stained-glass windows and set models for architecture and the stage
- Drawings, collages and preparatory studies
- Sculptures and bas-reliefs in generous, stylized forms
- Temporary exhibitions featuring Léger and contemporary artists

Designed as a living space, the museum also offers workshops, guided tours, lectures and family outings, in a colorful atmosphere resolutely focused on the joy of creation.
