L’Mougins tourist office offers a number of original ways to discover this village, renowned for its charm, heritage and close ties with artists.
The first guided tour, entitled «Mougins and its secrets», The tour highlights local history and traditions through anecdotes and unusual discoveries. Available during office opening hours, it must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. It lasts one hour and costs €5 (free for children under 12).
The second visit, «The Master in Mougins», is dedicated to Picasso and his relationship with the village. The artist, who first came to Mougins in 1936, spent the last years of his life here. The tour includes a visit to the Villa Vaste Horizon, the former hotel of Picasso and other major 20th-century figures. The tour is offered daily at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in summer, and on Fridays at the same times the rest of the year. It lasts 1 h 30 and costs €10 (free for children under 12).
For families, the tourist office has also come up with «The Treasure of Mougins», a treasure hunt that takes young and old through the village's alleyways and museums. Fun and instructive, this activity lasts between 1 h 30 and 2 h. The booklet costs €20 and can be played by 6 or 8 people.
In terms of reception, the’Mougins tourist office is open from April 1 to June 30, Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. From July 1 to August 31, it is open daily from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. From September 1 to October 30, opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Finally, from November 1 to March 31, it is open Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
